A Passion Project is a project-based learning activity in which students research any topic they are passionate about and create a project to share with the class, the school, the community….the world! The Passion Project encourages creativity in the classroom and promotes inquiry, perseverance, problem-solving, and innovation, among other lifelong skills.

The rationale for assigning a passion project is to keep the students happy, inspired, engaged, and motivated these last few weeks of school. I have met and conferenced with each student. We have discussed their passion 1:1, in depth.

Know that students can think BIG! Passion Projects have no boundaries. I want students to think outside of the box (or the classroom!) to pursue areas of genuine, authentic interest and inquiry. We have some students writing Fairy Tales, some creating their own Biographies and others are looking at endangered species. We will present our Passion Projects next Friday, June 16th.
