I will also often refer to my “Change Your Words, Change Your Mindset” bulletin board which I keep up in my classroom throughout the year (pictured below). I find it a powerful and effective way to help the students change the way they see themselves as learners and reflect on how they can improve their attitudes and work habits within the classroom. Ask your child which statements are particularly relevant to or resonate strongly with him/her. We will continue to explore ways that we can develop a growth mindset as the year progresses!
